Among the most functional and easy to use utilities can be noted ImgBurn, PowerISO, BurnAware, ISO Recorder, etc. These programs have different functions and their choice can be driven by goals and objectives that you need when you capture the image with flash.

Utility ImgBurn very easy to use. It allows you to create an image from any storage drive in iso format. A similar set of functions has the ISO Recorder and BurnAware Free. It is worth noting that all these utilities are free. PowerISO has advanced functionality in addition to creating boot images it can produce them entry to mount the iso in the system. The program is specifically configured to work with Windows 8. The free version of this application has some limitations.

Download any program from the Internet and run the executable installer file. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation, and then start the desired utility.

Insert the flash drive into the USB port of the computer and wait for its definition in the system. Once the flash drive is found, go to the program window and select the appropriate option to create the image. It may be referred to Create Image File. If item with such name you cannot find, click on File – New. In the menu that appears, select your USB flash drive.

Confirm image creation and select a location to save it. This will begin the file creation procedure, which can take several minutes, depending on the amount and type of data being copied. After prompted, the operation will be completed.

You can also create the desired image using the program UltraISO, which is a popular tool to burn discs in Windows. Run the program and select the files on the flash drive from which you wish to create the image. After that, save the selected documents using the menu "File" - "Save" the top bar of the program window.
