You will need
  • Cleaner for glass alcohol-based, soft fabric, solar charge controller, solar light.
Instruction
1
Before sending the surface of the solar battery to the light, make sure it is clean. Carefully inspect it. If the surface is dirt, wipe gently with a cloth impregnated with liquid glass cleaner alcohol-based.
2
In winter, solar panels that provide power at home, must be free from snow. Shake off the snow cover and carefully remove the icing.
3
Carefully inspect the place where a solar battery. Remove the obstructions that can block the surface from the sunlight.
4
Check out how the charge controller. Start the battery only with a proper instrument.
5
If the charge controller has failed, replace it before you use the battery. You can buy the cheapest version of the device - ON/OFF controller. He just disconnects the solar panel from the battery when congestion occurs. There are controllers PWM (pulse width modulated converters), which reduce tension in the solar battery to the required digits and maintain it at this level. It is best to use such devices, because using the ON/OFF or disconnecting the battery will result in a permanent incomplete charging of the batteries and they will last significantly less than those regularly charged to 100%.
6
If no controller is necessary to monitor the charging voltage with a voltmeter. When it reaches the desired numbers, the battery must be disabled. If time does not disable it, it will overcharge, the boiling of the electrolyte and reduce the battery life.
7
In order to charge a solar panel on portable devices, it is necessary to clean contamination from the surface. The purification method is similar to that used at solar power plants. After this, the instrument must be put into the sunlight. If there is no battery charging indicator, on the average it is necessary to expose it to UV for 30 minutes.
