- Special cleaning agents or water repellents
Instruction
1
The main way is to prevent the formation of efflorescence by eliminating the possibility of leaching of salts from brick. A great method is hydrophobization, that is, the surface treatment of masonry with special composition (water repellent), gives many building materials additional ability to repel water. After completion of the hydrophobization, the water will no longer soak into the surface of the brickwork, and will just run away from it in the form of balls. The brick is not wet.
2
If you want to completely remove salt from bricks, large amounts of water and brushes will not be enough. Not only that - it will not lead to anything good. Keep in mind that brushes are made of metal, will further destroy the bricks and water is getting inside the wall, will simply "pull" the front surface of an even larger amount of salt. The fact that soluble salts which appear on the brick surface, in the aggressive anthropogenic emissions and other atmospheric phenomena almost always are converted to insoluble compounds that can be removed only with the help of special compositions.
3
To clean the brick facade from the salt, it is necessary to use special cleaners, do not change the appearance of brickwork without damaging its surface and aesthetic appearance. These cleaners can remove not only salt and lime deposits, but also even more steady pollution from the atmosphere. If you buy, for example, "Tipr OF", then apply it on the face of the wall, using a brush or roller. Then wait about half an hour and wash off excess cleaner with water. In addition to the above cleaner there is a whole series of cleaners: "Tipr OTS", "Armix", "NEOMID 550 Antisol" and others. They differ in their intensity of impact on the brick.
