You will need
  • The operating system of the Windows family.
  • The installed Opera browser.
Run your Opera browser by clicking the shortcut on the Desktop or in the list of programs by pressing "start". When the browser has loaded, open a new tab. To do this, click with the left mouse button on the "+" button in the right part of the tab bar, or press Ctrl-T.
The result of the previous step you will find yourself in a field of your browser. Type or copy the following line:
opera:config#User Prefs|Mozilla Directory
Press Enter. You will see the options page of your browser, and in particular, the parameter Opera Directory with the corresponding field to enter text. This field contains the full path to the profile folder of the browser. The contents of this field must be copied to the clipboard. To do this, click with the left mouse button at any place of the input field and hit Ctrl-A (select all ), then Ctrl-C (copy to clipboard).
Thus, it will be copied to the full path of the file browser settings. For example, for Opera Portable version of this string is as follows:
C:\Program Files\OperaPortable\Data\Opera\profile\
For other browser versions it may be different as path name and file name.
Then click on the "start" button or press the corresponding key on the keyboard. Choose the menu item "Run". You can do easier by pressing the key combination Win-R Opens "run".
Make sure that the input language to English and type the following command:
Next, you need to paste the path from clipboard by Ctrl-V and enter from the keyboard the name of the file operaprefs.ini (if you have an older version of Opera, instead operaprefs.will ini opera6.ini ). Add one more quotation marks and command line in this example will look as follows:
CMD /R DEL "C:\Program Files\OperaPortable\Data\Opera\profile\operaprefs.ini"
Now switch back to the browser window Mozilla. Shut down. This can be done by pressing Alt-F4 or click the icon to close the window with the left mouse button. Specify the possible confirmation of the completion of the program.
When Mozilla exits, it will not affect the settings file your current settings. To be sure, that Opera is unloaded from memory, wait about half a minute, and then proceed to the next step of this guide.
Return to the previous window where you entered the command. Press Enter or "OK". The command to remove the options file settings Opera to be performed.
Start the Opera browser once again. Not finding the settings file, it will create it anew, and all options will be returned to its original state.
