Call the main system menu the main computer by pressing the "start" button and click "control Panel". Open the link "Network and Internet" and then expand "control Center network and sharing". Click "local area Connection" and click "Properties".

Select the line "Internet Protocol version 4" and click "Properties". Apply the check box "Use the following IP address" and type 192.168.137.1 in the line "IP address". Enter 255.255.255.0 in the "subnet Mask" and type the IP address of the second computer in the line "default gateway" is 192.168.137.2. Confirm saving the changes by pressing the OK button.

Call the main system menu of the second computer by clicking "start" and click "control Panel". Open the link "Network and Internet" and then expand "control Center network and sharing". Select the item "local area Connection" and click "Properties".

Select the line "Internet Protocol version 4" and click "Properties". Apply a check mark in the line "Use the following IP address" 192.168.137.2 and type in the field "IP address". Do not make any changes in the string "subnet Mask" and type 192.168.137.1 in the line "Preferred DNS". Save changes by clicking OK.

Restart both computers to apply the changes and open the link "control Center network and sharing". Make sure that you see the network as home, not public. You can then go through the steps of creating a HomeGroup and sharing the necessary files and folders. Please note to use the password when you perform this operation.
