Gather what you know about the book in the diagram. Take something important (hero, location, era, genre) and write in the middle of the sheet. Move in different directions multiple arrows to other known facts: for example, "the protagonist: charismatic – doctor - married." The most detailed diagram to help you organize information and to search more specifically.

Use of the word schema as tags. There are lots of online libraries and sites for the exchange of views, where for each books individual page with description, ratings and reviews. An example of such a service are sites imhonet.ru and koob.ru.

Go to the website and in the search box, type a set of keywords, which characterize the work: genre, characterization, main character, scene or important details. Thus, the query, "doctor, the devil" imhonet definitely will point a user to the "Faust" of Goethe.

Use keywords in standard search engines. While results are often more precise, because not only based on the description of the books and their actual content. A representative example is the query "milk, violence, and Beethoven": the words do not describe the product directly, but because the relevant sites are not recognized. However, Google is the first link displays the page of the film "a Clockwork Orange".

Ask for help on the forums. Try to choose a community a suitable topic (not looking for the same women's novels on the website of science fiction fans) and carefully describe what you know about the book (again – based on previously compiled schema).

Ask about the book from users of the sites questionnaires, like "Ответы@Mail.ru". The advantage of such projects is that they collect people with a wide range of interests, because the probability that the book will be found to be quite high.
