You will need
  • - distilled water;
  • - disposable syringe with a long needle;
  • - awl;
  • sealant.
Instruction
1
If your car was difficult to start, perhaps it's because of the battery. Have maintenance-free batteries, the housing is completely closed, hole for water is not. Labyrinth vapour recovery system condenses and back to the evaporating electrolyte. However, a small part of the water evaporates through the air vent. You may be able to return the health of your battery, top up distilled water.
2
Open the hood. Look at the eye of the density indicator. Green – battery is fully charged, black – requires recharging, white indicates a low electrolyte level.
3
Maintenance-free battery is completely sealed enclosure. Remove the sticker. Do not open the battery cover, because then it will be difficult to fix it still.
4
Through the transparent plastic cover is clearly visible internal structure of the chamber, partitions. You can determine the number of cells and therefore place the fill water or check the electrolyte density. Any assistant tool, for example a thin awl, make a hole. It must be done as accurately as possible.
5
With the help of a disposable syringe slowly (5 ml) refill through the hole in the Bank, where there is a density indicator, distilled water. After the appearance in the eye of the black or green add another 20 ml.
6
To determine the level of the electrolyte lower the needle into the banks and pull the rod back. As soon as the syringe began to take an electrolyte, check the level with a marker on the needle. If the battery is made of light plastic, it is possible to determine the level of electrolyte in the lumen. Measure it with a ruler.
7
Add the water to the other banks as long as the electrolyte level in them reaches the mark on the needle.
8
Seal openings with sealant or pick up the rubber tube. Gently shake the battery to the electrolyte mixed up.
