Instruction
1
Protection. Today laminate is produced for a variety of areas, respectively, the requirements that apply coatings also differ. First, you must decide what areas bought laminate. For example, the floor of the hallway is more susceptible to abrasion and moisture, for this case, the required laminate flooring class 23. And for a child's room or living room, where the requirements below, fit laminate class 22.
2
Water resistance is a weak place of any laminate. Typically, the surface of the laminated composite plate is highly resistant to moisture. But if water gets into the joints, and then in the basis, it will lead to deformation of the surface. Some manufacturers produce water-resistant laminate, they are impregnated with the connection of the special composition, which repels moisture.
3
Insulation and substrate. If you put laminate on a concrete base, when you walk you will hear a ringing sound. In order to smooth roughnesses and to remove the noise, you must enclose a special substrate of various materials (e.g., polyethylene foam). Some manufacturers produce laminate with attached backing, which increases the sound insulation.
4
The method of fastening plates. There are two main ways in which the plates are to each other: with glue or lock. Prefabricated laminate (with a lock) does not require glue, it just snaps on the end sides. Such a laminate is quite easy to style yourself, and if necessary, you can replace the damaged part.
5
Warm floors. Laminate is well suited for "warm floor", but it is necessary that the packaging was labelled. The value of thermal resistance must also be specified in the specifications.
