Instruction
1
Before you start polishing the sealant, remove its remnants. This can be done in two ways, one of which is mechanical and the other chemical. In the first case, you will need normal stationery knife, with which the solidified part is cut layer by layer. After all excess will be removed, wipe the surface of the abrasive cleaning agent or with a wire sponge.
2
The second method is resorted to if the remnants of the sealant is not possible to remove by mechanical means. At the moment, many manufacturers of solvent sealant in paste form or aerosol. Once the solvent is applied, the sealant will either wash off immediately or turn into mush, and then you just rinse with water.
3
As soon as you remove the remnants of sealant, you can begin polishing the surface, which is carried out in four stages. The first is priming, followed by grinding, the third stage is directly polishing, and finally, the final drying.
4
A few words about each of these stages. Priming is necessary to fill the pores with the aim of obtaining a smooth and even surface. It is made with the help of special tools. Necessarily at the end of the procedure the surface must be dry. And only after that you can start grinding. The grinding process is performed with a paste with abrasive particles or sandpaper. Prerequisite – after completion of this phase the remnants of the dust must be removed with a clean cloth.
5
Now you can start polishing the sealant. This will require a polishing means, the choice of which depends on the surface to which the sealant was applied. A tampon soaked in varnish and do a test of the Las. Ideally varnish with light pressure on the swab should form a thin layer, almost immediately drying. If not, you need to change a tampon on the one that will contain a smaller amount of Polish.
6
Movement during polishing of the sealant should be zig-zag, don't spend much time on one and the same place. Slowly the tempo should be increased, and thus, to return to a previously applied layer in two or three minutes. The second and third stage of polishing is done only after drying of a polished surface. The fourth required only if there is a matte spot.
7
In conclusion, it only remains to refresh the surface. To do this, soak a tampon in alcohol and fast in a circular motion go polished the sealant. It is important to remember that any finishing work is the final chord of repair, so the approach to it is with the utmost accuracy and care.
