If you're using a videocamerathat records video to a built-in hard disk drive (HDD) or memory card (Flash card), follow these steps. Connect the camera to the computer, using the appropriate USB cable. The first end plug to the connector on the camcorder and the USB connector of the computer. Then press the power button. If necessary, select the connection mode corresponding to the transmission (copying) of data.

The system will automatically identified a new device. Using Windows Explorer open "My computer", then navigate to the folder connected camera (if it uses both hard disk and memory card, it is possible to display two devices). Find the relevant video files, select them, right click mouse and select Copy. Next, open the folder on the hard drive of the computerand where you are going to copy the video from the camera, right click mouse and select "Paste". Wait for the copy process.

If video recording was used memory card, you can do the following. Unplug the camera and remove the memory card. Insert it into the card reader to the computerand open the appropriate directory using Windows Explorer operating system. Find the video files and copy them to a folder on your hard drive.

If you use a camcorder that records video to tape (MiniDV HDV), follow these steps. Connect your camera to computerat by using DV cable. One end connect to the camera and the other to the IEEE1394 connector of the computer. Run the program for importing video (Windows Movie Maker). Switch to import video from the camera, set the desired video quality settings, the location to save to disk and start the copy process by pressing the appropriate button.
