You will need
- For a spicy sauce from fresh tomatoes:
- 4 large ripe tomatoes;
- a small pod hot red pepper;
- 2 garlic teeth;
- 20 g of vegetable oil;
- 3 onions;
- To make the sauce from canned tomatoes:
- 20 g of olive oil;
- 3 teeth of garlic;
- 400 g of canned tomatoes;
- 10 g of sugar;
- ground black pepper
Prepare spicy fresh tomato sauce. Wash the tomatoes and remove the skins. To do this, dip them in the boiling water and hold it for one minute. Then place the tomatoes in cold water. After such manipulations the skin quite easily with them removed. Scroll peeled tomatoes, onion, garlic and pepper pod through a meat grinder. The amount of hot pepper can be reduced to taste. Choose for the sauce only ripe, fleshy tomatoes. Instead of a grinder for grinding the vegetables, you can use a blender or food processor.
Pour into a small saucepan with vegetable oil and heat it. Put the tomato mix in a saucepan and cook for about 5 minutes.
Add the spices, salt and continue to cook the sauce on low heat until then, until it will thicken. It usually takes 15 minutes. Then remove the pan from the heat and let the sauce a little brew. Then put it in a gravy boat and serve. Spicy tomato sauce, prepared according to this recipe, great for pilaf. It can also be served with baked or boiled potatoes, and any pasta.
