You will need
- First of all, you will need a basic knowledge of computer: how to de-energize the system unit and remove the side cover. And the arm with a screwdriver.

At the moment there are several types of fans used in cooling systems. The most common of them are removed/put on in 3 ways, i.e., the cooler attached to the heat sink different kinds of ways:
- using small screws;
- by means of a latch;
- with additional grooves for retention.
Will consider in more detail the methods of extracting cooler with the radiator.

A small note: the cooler is a fan that mounts on the radiator. In turn, the radiator is adjacent to the platform on which is mounted processor. The cooler serves to cool the high temperature of the stone of the processor during operation.
Attention! It is necessary before removing the cooler to disconnect the system unit, turn off the computer and leaving the system and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. You can also use the de-energizing switch that is located on the back of the PSU (not in all models of the power supply). After you remove the side cover of the system unit, disconnect the power cord of the cooler from the connector on the motherboard.

So, the most common way of fastening of the cooler – with the aid of small screws. It's pretty simple: take the appropriate size screwdriver, Unscrew small screws and cooler free.
When our cooler has a connection in the form of a latch (lever), click on the latch and pressing, to move the lever in the external from the processor side.
When mounting the latch (lever), and additional slots will need to click on the slots to release the cooler from the fan connector.

Note
The question of how to remove a cooler from the processor can occur for several reasons:
- overheating of the component parts of the computer for cooling which meets the cooler;
- low productivity of the entire computer;
- dust the fans in the system unit.
Often, after removing the cooler from the process, apply new layer of thermal paste, it is necessary to remove the old thermal grease.

Useful advice
If the attempt to remove the cooler fails you, then the thermal paste that is on the processor has dried up. The cooler can be removed heating the CPU with a Hairdryer or just turn on the computer for a while.
