Pay attention primarily on type (format) an animated file. Avatars and postcards with all sorts of "sparkly" and similar simple effects, as a rule, are of GIF format, and save them to your computer they can be as normal image, through the context menu — right click on the image and select "Save as". If in the list no such item, but there is a line like "About Adobe Flash Player 111.2.333.45", then you most likely are dealing with a SWF file. Keep it harder, but these "difficulties" quite on forces to overcome even the absolute beginner.

Use to save flash animation online service Save2Go.
Copy the url of the page which contains the desired animation, to the clipboard — that is, just highlight the contents of the browser address bar and press Ctrl+C.
Go to the page http://save2go.ru/. Paste the saved link to the site in the designated field — i.e. just place the cursor inside the field and press Ctrl+V.
Click on the "Save" and wait a while — the direct links to all available on that page animated files will appear below along with a brief description (including sizes).
Select among the links you need — you can see the name, type and size of the file and make it right click. In the context menu select "Save link as...", specify the path to save the file and set the name without changing the extension. If you have difficulty in choosing the right links, save all the animation — extra files you can always delete.

Do not forget that any animated file which you have in your browser reproduced whole, has been preserved on the hard disk of your computer in the folder of the cache memory, so that it suffices to find where this animation and move it to a more appropriate folder. Install special software to extract flash files. Online on free and paid basis, distributed as a separate program and additional modules (plugins, "Addons") for popular Internet browsers. Note
If the saved animation you attempt to open the standard Windows tools, at best you will only see the initial frame, i.e. a static picture. Browse these files in a web browser (they are reproduced even when off the Internet) or using third-party software. For example, to enjoy a GIF animation, you can use the popular program ACDSee or XnView less well-known, and the SWF file plays in Media Player Clasic-Home Cinema or KMPlayer'E.
Useful advice
If you are a more experienced user, look for a direct link to the file in the code of a web page — tools for code review are on the menu in any browser. But if none of the above methods of saving files does not suit you, you can just write any animation using any of the numerous programs to capture video from the computer monitor.
