Select a story which will be staged the play. Focus on the audience for which you are doing it. The tale should not be too profound and philosophical, if the spectacle will be to watch the youngest kids, and "the Gingerbread man" is not suitable for fifth graders. Also, consider the number of actors and material costs for costumes and props.

Determine the type of narrative that will be presented on stage. All copyright words can utter single character – the narrator (it is possible to think of the role of the storyteller or another character). Or you can do without the original text, if the essence will remain clear. In addition, you can transform the words of the narrator in the actions of the main characters or weave in their monologues. The main requirement in such a correspondence of the tale – organic what is happening on stage.

Write down of the remaining works of the dialogues and monologues of the characters. Each of them need to be worked out separately. Remove unnecessary phrases that do not affect the overall effect and not reveal the character of the hero. This is necessary in case if the script is in unabbreviated form, risks becoming a too long show.

Adapt the text to your audience and actors. If there are small children in the film are not professional actors, very long sentences can be broken down into short phrases. And incomprehensible for children words replaced with synonyms.

Add in the scenario description of the staging. Shall describe the movements of actors, placement of them on the stage in each part of the performance. This should be considered as the laws of composition and the inner "psychology" of the play. The location of actors on stage should highlight the action, to continue in his movements or contrasting shade.

Add in the script remarks. It notes for the actors and the Director. In a few sentences describe the scenario remarks that the conditions in which it is.
