The fact that most antivirus software does not produce periodic scanning of hard drives. Ie if a viral file is entered into the system and not used by any application, it can long enough to discreetly stored on the hard drive. To delete such files start scanning.

Open the window of your antivirus. Navigate to "computer Scan" or "Scan hard disks". Opens the preferences window for future scans of the system.

Select the most powerful option of disk scan (Deep scan). Specify hard disks, USB drives or other device that you want to check for viruses.

If necessary, perform more detailed setting of the file test operators. Click "Scan" to start this process.

Most likely, when it finds suspicious files the program will suggest you possible variants of actions over them. Most often the following actions are suggested:
- Move file to quarantine
- Clean file from virus code
- Delete the file
- Skip this file (take no action).
Select the desired action and click OK.

If after scanning, a special program, the virus was removed, complete this procedure on my own. To start, try to specify antivirus program the requested file. Open the folder containing the above file, click right mouse button and select "scan for viruses" or "Scan ...".

If your antivirus program found nothing suspicious in the file or group, but are you sure that they are viral, then scroll to the desired set of files and press shift + del.
Note
If you do not know the purpose of a deleted file, it is better not to perform their own removal. This can lead to malfunction of the operating system.
