How to clean PC from viruses

Antivirus software is not always able to prevent the entry of undesirable files in the system. In such cases, it is recommended to perform some actions that help to identify and remove malicious files.

• - Dr. Web CureIt.

Instruction

1. Open the settings of your antivirus program and update the database. This must be done before each test computer. Go to the menu "Scan" and select all the partitions of hard disks and USB drives. Activate the "Deep scan" or "Full scan".
2. Start the process of file analysis. After it completes, view the list of viral programs and remove them. If any files failed to delete, then select "move to quarantine".
3. If you are not sure of your antivirus program, then download from the site http://www.freedrweb.com/cureit Dr. Web Curelt. Run the downloaded. exe file. Repeatedly press the Ok button in the pop-up Windows. After opening the main menu CureIt click "Scan" and wait until this process is complete.
4. If your antivirus program could not remove some virus files then restart the computer and start the safe mode of the operating system. Usually you need to press F8 during boot up of the PC.
5. After loading the safe mode of Windows: start rescan the computer. In this case it is better to specify a specific folder in which there are malicious files.
6. If specific files cannot be removed due to the fact that they are used by the program or application, then press Alt, Ctrl and Delete. In Windows XP the task Manager will start automatically. In Windows Vista and 7, select the appropriate item in the menu that appears.
7. Disable unnecessary processes by pressing the Delete key after selecting them. Try to remove the virus files. Restart the PC after antivirus program.
