How to move the paging file to another drive

Open the parameters dialog of the system. To do this, click the "My computer" located on your desktop. In the context menu select "Properties".

Open dialogue management performance. In the dialog "system Properties" click on the tab title "Advanced". Click on the "Settings" button located in the group control Performance. A dialog opens the "performance Options".

Open the parameters dialog for the virtual memory usage. Switch to the "Advanced" tab by clicking on its header. In the group of controls "Virtual memory" click "Change". This opens the dialog "Virtual memory". Displays current information about the current settings of the virtual memory usage. In the list in the upper left corner of the dialog will contain information about the presence and amounts of files paging to the hard disk of the computer. Each element of the list corresponds to one of the disks. When you select an item list, detailed information on the settings of the file swap on the corresponding disk will be displayed in the band controls the size of the file swap for the selected disk".

Copy the file swap to another disk. In the dialog "Virtual memory" click on the list item that corresponds to the disk on which at the moment is file swap. The group controls the size of the file swap for the selected disk" activate the switch "Without a file swap". Then click "Ask". In the list of drives, select the one that needs to be migrated file paging. The group controls the size of the file swap for the selected disk" activate the radio button "custom size" or "Size for choice systems". In the case of selecting "custom size", set the minimum and the maximum size of the file swap in the appropriate fields. Click "Ask". Click "OK" in dialogs "Virtual memory", "performance Options" and "system Properties".

Then restart the computer. After closing the dialog "system Properties", the dialog displays requesting a reboot. Click "Yes". Wait until the computer restarts.
