You will need
- - strobe;
- - screwdriver;
- - wrench set;
- - a sheet of paper;
- pencil;
- - protractor;
- a pair of compasses;
- - metal strip.
Instruction
1
Draw a graduated scale. Draw on a sheet of paper a circle with a diameter equal to the size of the fixed part is installed on the snowmobile CVT. The center of the circle should be mid-end of the engine crankshaft.
2
Using the protractor mark on the circle C from 0 to 30, counting from the position corresponding to twelve o'clock of the dial and move clockwise. Transfer the completed template on a strip of metal and secure it on the engine cover. Note that the motor must be completely pre-chilled.
3
Left engine piston set at top dead center. To do this, first Unscrew the spark plug. Then candle in the well of the cylinder insert a special indicator (suitable caliper or screwdriver).
4
Scroll hand variator in the direction of rotation of the motor shaft, keeping an eye on the movement of the indicator in the candle well. At top dead center device for a moment stop and start movement in the opposite direction.
5
Making sure that the upper dead point is reached, apply to the variator mark opposite the zero degrees that you may have attached to the engine cover of the scale.
6
Connect the strobe to the signal was filmed with a high-voltage wire of the specified cylinder. Reinstall spark plugs and start the engine.
7
Point the strobe lamp on a scaled dial and raise the engine speed to the maximum. Lamp strobe should flash when the occurrence of sparks in the cylinder showing how the mark of the scale matches the label of the variator. It points to existing ignition timing.
8
To adjust the ignition timing, turn the engine off, loosen the screws attaching the base maggino and rotate it to the required value. Then recheck the angle using the strobe. Turn the base maggino clockwise will reduce the ignition timing, and clockwise will increase it. The offset base maggino 0.9 mm is equal to the change of the ignition timing by 1 degree.
