Launch the Steam client using the start menu or a shortcut on the Windows desktop. After downloading the program click on "Library". Next to your game right click "Delete" and confirm the operation. Once you delete the local game was made, you can install your game from disc. If the game was not pre-installed on your computer in Steam, you can skip this step.

Insert the first game disc in the drive. Close Steam by clicking Steam – Exit. Then on the keyboard press the key combination Win (with Windows logo) and R to run command prompt. You can also invoke it using the menu item "start" - "All programs" - "Accessories" - "Command prompt".

In the window that appears, enter the following query:
“C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe” –install E:
In this command instead of the letter E specify the name of your floppy drive in the system. To find the desired letter, click "start" - "Computer" and look for the name of your drive. Press Enter. Then you will see the Steam window that displays a notification about the beginning of the installation disk.

If you experience problems installing the game from disc to Steam, consult with the appropriate request to the support service. For this go to official support page of the resource and use the form to Contact Steam Support.
Note
This method of installing the game from disc to Steam suitable only for licensed copies of games purchased in specialized stores. Installing games that are unlicensed, with this method, it is impossible.
Useful advice
The described method of installation will not work for backups of games via Steam. To restore a particular game you can use the relevant paragraph of the client.
