Instruction
1
The easiest way is to connect to a single stationary computer, both hard disk. Turn off the PC and open the system unit. Most often this requires you to Unscrew 2 or 3 screws and remove the left side of the body. Examine the available connectors to connect the drives.
2
Select the desired connector (IDE or SATA). Connect the second hard disk. Connect the drive power cable. Turn on the computer and hold the Delete key. Launch BIOS menu.
3
Tab Boot Options and make sure that the download will be executed from your main hard drive. Change the download settings, if necessary. Save BIOS settings and restart the computer. Wait until completed starting the operating system.
4
Click on "My computer" and select the first hard disk. Locate the files you want to transfer to another hard drive. Select them with the left mouse button while holding the Ctrl key. Now click on any selected file, right-click and select "Copy".
5
Open another window, go to "My computer" and browse to the folder list of the second Winchester. Find the required folder, click right mouse button and select "Paste". Wait until the file copying is complete. If you want to move data rather than copy, after selecting the desired files, click "Cut".
6
If your computers configured to use a local network, you can transfer files without removing the hard drive. Create on the second PC any folder and click the right mouse button. Select "sharing". Grant full access (read and write) to that directory.
7
On the second PC, press Win + R and type the command \101.10.15.1. Digits indicates the IP address of the network adapter of the second computer. After opening the list of available folders, select the newly created directory and copy the files you need.
