With the operating system Windows using last known good configuration, you should understand that not all system error can be corrected in this way. The information is restored in only one registry key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet).

If you have made the registry data is incorrect, you may need to reinstall the operating system. Use the last known good configuration in cases where you need to solve problems related to buggy drivers for new devices. If the driver files are corrupted or even totally absent, the boot mode will not help.

If your computer is off, turn it on in the usual way. If the computer is in working condition, then restart it. To do this, click "start" and select the command "Off". From the options select "Restart".

When your operating system starts or when you see the message "please Select the operating system to start", press F8. In the advanced options menu Windows boot, select "Last known good configuration", using the movement via the menu arrow on the keyboard.

Press [Enter] and wait for system boot with the last working settings. If you use on your computer other operating system with the arrow keys on the keyboard to select "Microsoft Windows XP" and press [Enter].
