1
There are 3 varieties of devices that can provide security for equipment: network filters, stabilizers and uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Each of these kinds is effective for certain devices and will help prevent breakage in the event of malfunctions in the electricity network.
2
The stabilizer is the simplest safety device AC power. It is able to withstand jumps and knock down the voltage to acceptable level for the equipment. A disadvantage of the stabilizers is that when short surges they are ineffective, because does not have time to smooth out sudden increases of energy and because some devices can fail even after you install it.
3
To protect devices operating from a wall outlet, select network filters. They often take the brunt of the defects in the network, thus the output giving the standard 220 V. power strips are a kind of extension cords or adapters that are already built-in stabilizers. These devices are able to withstand surges up to several thousand volts, which emerged as the result of a lightning strike or operation of the welding apparatus.
4
Uninterruptible power supplies are also an effective remedy, though more expensive. UPS is required to protect the computer and its components in case of sudden switch-off of energy or increasing the voltage of the mains. These devices are batteries that are automatically charged when connected to the network. A power outage, the device assumes a power surge and the technique can provide electricity for several minutes, which may be enough for the completion of paperwork and proper computer shutdown.
5
Install the UPS using the cable supplied with the device and is connected to the computer's power supply. Connect the UPS to the mains, then start it with the button on the case. Then you can start the computer to get started.
