The most common type of the average price — arithmetic average. It is used in case when you need to calculate the mean term in the total data set. To find

**price**method the arithmetic mean, add up all the prices and divide the amount by their total number. For example, you sold the goods Packed in the carton. Prices on box are different. The total number of boxes equal to 5. The task is to find the average**price**of one box. Use the formula:Price (Ms. ar.) = (10 + 15 + 10 + 25 + 15) / 5 = 15 (RUB.).2

When it comes to sales of fungible goods at different prices and different number of parties, obviously, the arithmetic mean value will not reflect the real price. In this case, use the arithmetic average of the weighted value. It allows you to determine

**the price**using the ratio of the total amount of goods sold to them. For example, you sell different batch of products at different prices:10 — 15$; 15 units — 10 rubles;25 units — 20 RUB Task is to find the average**price**of one unit of output. Determine the total sales:10 × 15 + 15 × 10 + 25 × 20 = 800 (RUB.).The total number of units sold — 50 — known. Use the formula:Price (Ms. ar.ot.) = 800 / 50 = 16 (RUB).3

If you need to calculate average

**price**for the heterogeneous product of different value, use the average harmonic value. It is also calculated as the ratio of sales to number of goods sold. However, it allows to take into account the difference in cost for each product. For example, you sell three different goods at different prices:product a cost 50 RUB per unit for 500 RUB;Product B — 40 RUB — 600 RUB;Merchandise In — 60 RUB — 1200 RUB. Use the formula:Price (cf Garm.) = (500 + 600 + 1200) / (500/50) + (600/40) + (1200/60) = 51,11 (RUB.).
