How to disable event log

To disable the logand event , you must disable the corresponding service. If you are running Windows XP, open "start" – "control Panel" – "administrative tools" – "Services". Locate the service "Log of events" (Event log), open its window by clicking the mouse on the corresponding line. Stopping this service is prohibited, but you can change the startup type by selecting Disabled. The next time you boot the computer, log events will not be run.

In the Windows 7 operating system log events is disabled in the same way – look in control Panel administrative tools – Services and change the startup type of the service to Disabled. Log events will run until the next reboot.

In most cases, users disable some services to improve the performance of your computer and improve its security. By default, in Windows OS it is running a service that does not need an ordinary user, you should disable them. For example, if you are going to use remote assistance, disable the service "Terminal". If you don't want someone to edit system registry of your computer, disable the service "Remote registry".

If you are synchronizing system time of the computer with a time server, disable the "Service time". Do not use wi-fi – disable the service "Wireless zero configuration". Self-sustaining-date antivirus databases and need no reminders – turn off "security Center".

In that case, if you are going to use your computer as a server and give others users access to your folders and files, disable the service "Server". Not going to log in as a different user – disable "Secondary logon". Disabling all these services, you will be able to increase the speed of your computer and enhance the security of the network.
