How to change screen resolution on Windows 7
The screen resolution of your monitor in Windows operating systems, is the ratio of the number of pixels per unit area of the display. The resolution in the first place, determines the sharpness of the images and text displayed on the screen. The higher the resolution, the sharper the image. In addition, with a high value of resolution of the screen objects displayed on it are smaller and therefore can fit more.
Instruction
Free desktop from running programs, Windows and files. To do this, close them or roll. Minimize all Windows at once by clicking on the button "Minimize all Windows", located on the right side of Windows taskbar.
Right-click the mouse once at the place of a desktop free of widgets, shortcuts and gadgets.
In the list that appears select "screen Resolution". A window will open "screen Resolution", containing the main settings screen, such as the choice of monitor, its resolution and orientation, and additional options.
To open the settings window of the screen in a different way, click "start" and launch the "control Panel". In the opened window, select "Screen" by clicking it with the left mouse button once, and click the "adjust screen resolution" in the left part of the window.
To open the settings area of the start screen "start menu" and in search line "search programs and files" enter text "screen". In the list that appears, click on the "adjust screen resolution" located in the "control Panel".
In the settings window, select screen resolution from the list and click "Ok". In all versions of Windows operating systems in the list of permissions displays the recommended for the monitor and graphics card. For example, a laptop screen with a diagonal of 15.6 inches recommended may be the resolution of 1366x768.
Note
Users are not recommended to set the screen resolution higher than recommended by the system. This is due to the fact that the objects of the monitor screen will be displayed too small or incorrect, which in turn can lead to fatigue, eyestrain and blurred vision.
The maximum screen resolution is limited to the technical capabilities of the monitor, diagonal of its screen, aspect ratio and type of available graphics cards.
Useful advice
For placing on the screen a larger number of objects (shortcuts, Windows, folders, etc.) users are recommended to increase the resolution value, and to increase the size of displayed objects to set a lower resolution.
When setting a background image on the desktop to check the resolution of the picture. For a quality installation should not be less than the screen resolution. If the resolution of the background image larger than the screen resolution, the picture may not be displayed correctly and completely.
