You will need
- Multimeter (voltmeter and ohmmeter).
Instruction
1
Remember that the terminals of the sensor throttle are very different depending on the make of the car and installed the engine. They connect to the engine control unit and the automatic transmission, even on tcm. Contacts VC and E2 – positive and negative power wire of the sensor. Contact IDL transmits a signal about the beginning of the throttle. Contact VTA sends a signal about her degree of opening.
2
To adjust the contact IDL on most cars is sufficient to set the initial position of the contact. To do this, adjust the clearance between the throttle valve and its stop screw. The size of the gap will be explained in the instructions for repairing your car.
3
Connect a voltmeter to terminal VTA. When pressing and releasing the gas pedal the voltmeter should change simultaneously with increasing and decreasing pressure on the gas pedal. If this does not occur, or the voltage varies with surges or failures, replace the sensor.
4
The voltage of the terminal VTA should be 0,42-0,48 In the ignition. A specific value will be explained in the repair instruction. To adjust tension, loosen the 2 screws on the side of the sensor, not Obrucheva them to the end. Ignition on, easy postukivanie screwdriver on the sensor in direction of rotation until the desired voltmeter.
5
Tighten the screws. Check the voltmeter after several abrupt opening and closings of the throttle. On vehicles with automatic transmission start to slowly open the choke. When the voltmeter is 0.55-0.6 V must be heard silent buzzer solenoid box. Otherwise, look for a fault in the connection to the control unit transmission.
6
Connect the ohmmeter to terminals IDL and VTA. Loosen the sensor mounting bolts. Rotate it 30 degrees to the right, and then slowly return back to until the ohmmeter will not show the presence of flowing current. Insert the needle of 0.7 mm between the stop screw of the throttle and the thrust lever. Current must stop. If not, repeat adjustment. Tighten bolts with effort of 2 Nm, without allowing displacement of the sensor.
