Cut chrysanthemums are well stored at a low temperature of about 4 degrees. Without any tweaks they can be stored at this temperature for a long period of time, and cut off the buds are kept in such conditions for three weeks. Mums love the high humidity.

After harvesting the flowers, remove the lower leaves from the stems. The base of the stem break with a hammer or cut with a knife ten centimeters. If you need to transport the chrysanthemum, drink their water with a temperature of +5 degrees. To give the water the right temperature place it in the ice. After some time, remove from the water and transport in cardboard boxes.

Before you put chrysanthemums in a vase, cut the stem from the bottom with a sharp knife, laminate, and insert a toothpick or a match to the edge is not compressed. So the plant will better absorb water.

Add water, charcoal or ammonia. You can also put a tea spoon of common salt. Chrysanthemums keep well if put in water the aspirin – half to three liters.

Preferably every day to cut ends of chrysanthemums, cutting obliquely into the water. Before you take them out of the water after the circumcision, clamp the ends of the stem with your finger to avoid the air tube. All the leaves that are in the water, you must remove, otherwise they begin to rot and can ruin the water, leading to wilting of flowers.
