Instruction
1
The easiest way to count the slope by using a clinometer, if you don't have it, try to make this simple device on your own. Take the rail and attach it to the frame, in the corner of the rack, place the axle with the pendulum. A pendulum made of two rings, plates, a sinker and a pointer. During the measurement, the weight will move between the guide cutouts. Inside position the graduated scale, making it with a protractor.
2
To measure the slope of the roof attach the rail at a right angle to the ridge and see at what division of the scale stopped the pointer. You will receive a slope value in degrees.
3
To measure the bias with the help of improvised means, without creating a special device to mentally construct a right triangle, the oblique side of which will coincide with the inclined surface, one side will be parallel to the ground, and the second perpendicular. Now your task is to find at least two sides of the triangle.
4
On a plot of land or road leveling instrument can be used. Identify with it, the height of the point above sea level and find the difference, and the distance between the points of measure with a tape measure. If the level is not, just take a long Board and position it horizontally (align with a level gauge or a folk method). At the bottom of this put under the Board bricks or other available means. Measure the Board length and the height of the bricks.
5
If the object is far away, take a picture of it and measure the length of the sides of the triangle in the photo. Find the length of two sides – horizontal and vertical.
6
Now divide the length of the opposite (vertical) leg length adjacent (horizontal). To get the slope in percent, multiply by 100% and if you multiply the division result by 1000‰, recognize bias in ppm.
7
To find slope value in degrees, find the scientific calculator. It may be an ordinary electronic device with extended functions or program the Calculator on the computer (can be found online). Enter the result of dividing the number of sides and click the arctangent (atan or atg). You will get the slope of the surface in degrees.
