How to merge folders

Folders are used in all operating systems to organize the structure stored in the file information. Partially correct, in her opinion, the directory structure creates the OS itself, and partly this problem is solved by the user. If you decide, for example, to combine two or more folders in one, this would be easy using the file-Manager system.

Run the program Manager of the Windows operating system files. For this OS there are at least a dozen ways, but the easiest by simultaneously pressing Win and E.

Before the merge operation, you need to make a choice - the contents of all folders can be placed in a specially created folder or one of the blended. If you choose the first option, go to "Explorer" in the folder and right click the free space the right frame of the program. POPs up the context menu there is "Create" - open it and select "Folder". The file Manager will create a new directory, and you start typing a name for it and press Enter.

Using the tree directory "Explorer" navigate to the first of the merged folder, open it and select all the objects contained there - click on any of them, right-click and press Ctrl + A. Then apply the operation Cut - this item is in a context menu opened by right-clicking the mouse on the selected area. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + X.

Return to created a "unifying" folder, click the blank while the inner space right-click and select the command "Paste". This command corresponds to the key combination Ctrl + V. If in the second step you decide to use as a "unifying" one of the merged folders, then do this to her. Then try a combination of operations of cutting and pasting.

Remove empty directories after moving the contents. Note: if the source folder and "unification" are placed on different physical disks, the operation of cutting is replaced by a "Conductor" on the copy operation. This means that unneeded contents of these folders will remain in place - remove it with the "skins" folder.

If you combine the folders are in different directories, you can combine them differently. Both name the folder the same name, and then drag one of them in the same directory where the other. If the same name do exist, the file Manager every time to offer the choice of three options - replace, rename or skip the file. Choose the one that suits you the action.
