Grunge in our time is a well thought out image, quality clothing from well-known brands and be sure convenience.
It all started like this:
In the late ' 80s in the US there is a new subgenre in rock music. "Dirty" guitar sound and dark lyrics on the theme of loneliness, which were performed by musicians in a simple, distressed and often rumpled clothes. This style was named the Seattle sound or grunge. Grunge from the English. Grunge, dirty or unkempt. New music style and the growing popularity of rock groups ( Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains) become the impetus for rethinking the spiritual and material values, which ultimately led to the rejection of the cult of clothes.
Grunge – the bold fashion trends of those times. It was a provocation and a challenge to aesthetic beauty. In the same way were able to see something from punk, something of a hippie. "Chip" style in neovisne and apparent untidiness of things: ripped jeans, worn sneakers, loose t-shirt and definitely a cheap flannel shirt. The colors of the dark, in the best traditions of depression. Fans of grunge was considered a compliment, when from afar they took over the homeless off the street. Their goal was simple - to look like a beggar.
In 1992, thanks to Marc Jacobs, the designer from America, grunge hit the world of high fashion. As later admitted Jacobs: "the creation of a collection in this style I was inspired by the song Nirvana - Smell Like Teen Spirit. The energy with which it was filled, was felt only in clubs Hurrah".
The collection was presented to the baggy shirts and trench coats, stretched sweaters and dresses reminiscent of the clothes of the children from the orphanage. This is all combined with a massive lace-up boots. Later, Jacobs remembers this collection as "a little crazy". The press and public were delighted, despite the fact that critics poured scorn on what they saw on the catwalk. However, for Jacobs it was the best compliment. This collection was a breakthrough in the world of fashion and has earned its Creator world-famous.
Today, grunge has become more modern and has undergone some temporary changes. But this does not prevent him to remain brilliant and revolutionary, but individual style.
