How to make dry yeast
Yeast is an indispensable ingredient in most baking recipes. Yeast dough rises well, and baking is lush and airy. All this is thanks to microscopic fungi, having the ability to quickly reproduce, which in result causes fermentation which is used in the preparation of the test. Fermentation yeast is used not only in baking but also in the conversion of juice into wine, grains into beer. For the best reproduction of yeast favorable environment is the temperature and the presence of glucose, i.e. sugar.
You will need
- 1 sachet instant dry yeast (12 g)
- 1 Cup water or milk
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Instruction
Heat water or milk to 35-38 degrees.
Add into the liquid the sugar and stir.
When the yeast starts to "walk" on the surface appear fast-growing foam.
Useful advice
In the preparation of bakery products on 1 kg of a flour take 12-15 g of dry yeast;
15 grams of dry yeast is equivalent to 50 grams of fresh.
