You will need
  • Several PCs or laptops
  • Switch
  • Network cables

Select your main computer. Ideally, it have to be PC and not a laptop because it will be connected to the switch. It is desirable that it was the most powerful of the home computers.

Connect the computer to the main port of switch (if equipped) using network cable RJ-45. All other PCs or laptops connect to the same switch using the remaining ports.

Go to settings emerging local network of the main computer. Open settings for TCP/IPv4. Specify the IP address of this computer to 192.168.0.1.

In the same paragraph on other computerx, specify the IP addresses of the format 192.168.0.X, where X is an arbitrary non-repeating number. Further, each computer in the network will be exactly the last digit of the IP address. In the fields "preferred DNS server" and "default gateway", enter 192.168.0.1.

Open the properties of your connection to the Internet on the host computer. Go to the tab "access" and enable the Internet connection of your new local network.

Disable Windows firewall and all firewalls installed on the host computer.
