"Xylitol" in pregnancy prescribed for the treatment of complicated manifestations of rhinitis, acute respiratory diseases, acute allergic rhinitis, sinusitis. The drug is used in a combination therapy of otitis media, to reduce swelling of the mucous membrane, to facilitate rhinoscopy. "Xylitol" narrows blood vessels mucosa of the nose, makes breathing easier, reduces redness and swelling. The drug takes effect within a few minutes after injection. The therapeutic effect may persist for 8-9 hours.

"Xylitol" is produced in the form of nasal drops, spray, gel. Before the instillation of medication into the nasal passages should be cleaned. To use drops can be no more than 3 times a day. A one-time amount is 2 drops in each nostril. Spray "Xylitol" is used 2-3 times a day on 1 injection in each nostril. The formation of crusts in the nose, it is recommended to use gel. Nasal drops "Xylitol" is contraindicated in the following cases: glaucoma, atherosclerosis, arterial hypertension, tachycardia, increased sensitivity to its components. Diabetes, pregnancy and lactation the drug is used with caution and only on prescription. Do not exceed recommended dose. Should not simultaneously use "Xylitol" with MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants. No long-term use of "Xylene" in chronic rhinitis.

If too frequent or prolonged use of the drug, you may experience dryness and irritation of the mucous membrane of the nasopharynx.
