Interface overview
To understand how to use the program, easy. When you run the UltraIso window appears at the top of which is a "Main menu", under it there is "quick launch Bar". The workspace is divided into four parts. In the upper left corner displays information about the contents of the opened disk. It is represented in the tree list of folders. And right above you can see the list of files in the selected folder. Detailed information about them appears in the bottom right section. Bottom left is a list of available drives.
Ultraiso has own format. It's called ISO Zipped — ISZ. Although this format can only be read by the utility, it has become very popular, thanks to the great data compression.
How to create an image CD/DVD disc
Insert your disc into the drive, then run the application UltraISO and click on the "Tools". From the drop-down list, select "Create CD image". The application will open a new dialog box where you specify the drive with the prepared disk and assign the folder path to save image. In addition, at this stage you can select the required format is iso or perhaps аlcohol. Confirm the selection by pressing the button "Done"
How to burn CD/DVD image file
To create a disk image, you should click on "Tools" and select "Burn CD image". It is necessary to tell the program where is the folder with the files. And also choose additional settings: write method (TAO — Task At Once or DАО — Disk At the Ops) and speed. If you set the method of the TAO, then one will be recorded in only one track. If you need to record the entire disk, you must use the method DАО.
If you have installed the program Nero Burning Rom, UltraISO can use the engine of this application for burning discs.
How to burn a disc
You first need to create a disk image. To do this, simply select the files you are recording, and place them in the upper right window of the program. In the upper part of the window shows the volume of the selected files. This gives you the opportunity to see that the volume of files you are recording does not exceed the disk capacity.
Then you need to click on "File" and from the drop down list select "Save as", specify a location to save, the image name and extension (. iso). After the image was created, click on "Tools" and select "Burn CD image". Specify the burning speed and other necessary parameters.
How to open a disk image with UltraISO
Click on the "Tools" and select menu item "Mount to virtual drive". Opens a window where in the "image File" select a disc image. Then click "Mount" located below. In addition, the application can use actuators mounted in the programs Alcohol 120 and Daemon-Tools. The "Unmount" button is designed to remove disk from virtual drive. To open mounted image, you need to go into the folder "Computer" and double-click on the displayed there the virtual drive.

Creating a bootable USB drive
To create a bootable USB flash drive, you must have prepared the flash drive, formatted in NTFS and pre-recorded image of a bootable disk in iso format. Insert the drive into a free usb port and start UltraISO. Open a prepared image. To do this, click on "File", select "Open" from the drop down list. Now you need to go to menu "Bootstrapping" and select "Burn image hard disk". Here you need to find the letter corresponding to the flash drive and press "Burn". Recording method is better to leave the default USB-HDD+.
