Meatballs with rice in tomato-sour cream gravy



Ingredients:
350 g pork;
- 150 g beef;
- 1 tbsp. boiled rice;
- 1 onion;
- 1 carrot;
- 1 chicken egg;
- 1/2 tsp dried Basil;
- 3/4 tsp salt;
- vegetable oil;

For the sauce:
- 1 onion;
- 3 tbsp sour cream;
- 1 tbsp. tomato juice;
- 1/3 teaspoon of black pepper;
- 1/2 tsp of salt.

Finely grate the carrots. Clean the onion and cut into small cubes. Make Golden fried vegetables and refrigerate. Cut meat into cubes and mince. Mix all prepared ingredients with the rice and egg, sprinkle with dried Basil and salt and thoroughly stirred, preferably with your hands. Form meatballs, put them in a form or a roaster, coated with oil, and bake for half an hour at 180oC.


Thinly slice remaining onion and fry it in vegetable oil until transparent over medium heat. Add the cream, and when a little thick, dilute tomato juice. Hold all on a plate, season with salt and pepper, stirring constantly with a wooden spatula for another 3 minutes, then remove from heat.

Remove from the oven, pour into it the prepared sauce and bring it back. Simmer meatballs with rice in a fragrant gravy 30-40 minutes.

Chicken meatballs with rice in a creamy sauce



Ingredients:
- 850 g chicken breast fillet;
- 1,5 tbsp. of well-boiled rice;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- 1/2 tsp ground white pepper;
- 1 teaspoon of salt;
- vegetable oil;

For the sauce:
- 20 g of butter;
- 1.5 tbsp of flour;
- 300 ml of fatty milk (4,5%) or low-fat cream (10%);
- a pinch of nutmeg;
- 1/2 tsp of salt.

Wash chicken, Pat dry, cut into pieces and grind in a meat grinder or blender. Thoroughly mix the minced meat with boiled rice, pepper and salt. Roll it in the palms of small balls, each time wetting hands with warm water and place on a cutting Board. Heat the vegetable oil, quickly fry the meatballs over high heat until it will turn brown and place in a oiled ovenproof form.

Melt the butter, fry the flour in it until light brown, then slowly pour in the milk or cream in a thin stream, constantly stirring the sauce. Season with nutmeg, salt and simmer until thick. Pour over chicken balls and place in a preheated 190oC oven. Prepare meatballs with rice for 20 minutes, then remove, cover with foil and leave for another 15 minutes.
