Due to the busy schedule, few people pay attention to the light heaviness and pain in the neck, but with age the problem will only get worse and require serious medical interventions. According to doctors, more than 90 percent of people over 65 years suffer from cervical spondylosis. The disease involves mechanical changes of the cervical joints and intervertebral discs.
Reasons
The most common cause is old age, however, spondylosis may cause:
- neck trauma
- any activity, which takes a long time to bend the neck
- overweight
- genetic factors
Smokers and weightlifters, also are at risk. Taking into account the scale of the problem, doctors have developed a set of exercises designed to relax the neck muscles and to treat spondylosis.
Exercises
1. The movement of the head forward and backward. One of the most effective exercises for the cervical vertebrae is the movement of the head back and forth. Running is very simple: lift your head up, directing his chin to the ceiling, take a few seconds lower the head down, tucking your chin to your chest. Repeat the exercise 8-10 times.
2. Circular rotation of the head. Also a very useful exercise in the fight against diseases of the neck. Sit up straight and slowly turn your head to the left, lock it and return to starting position. Repeat the same to the right. Follow this complex 8-10 times.
3. Flexion of the neck. This exercise is just as effective as the first two. You need to sit straight, tilt your head forward and fix this position for a few seconds and return to starting position. Make sure that when you tilt you almost touch your chest. Repeat 8-10 times.
