You will need

  • - map of the night sky.
Instruction
1
In order to find Saturn in the first place you will need to study the current map of the night sky. Since the Earth and Saturn are in constant motion, the second is not always visible at night.
2
Go to the dark and free of city lights open. You should be able to see the brightest stars, only then you'll find Saturn.
3
Try to determine the location of the Ecliptic, not the sky using a star map. Ecliptic is an imaginary line that crosses the sky and helps to find the location of the planets. It passes through the zodiacal constellations: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Saturn will be located somewhere on this line, as well as any other planets that may be visible in the day, when you decided to find Saturn.
4
Look in the place where, according to the map, is Saturn, a bright yellow star. When observed with the naked eye planets look like stars. The only difference is that they don't flicker, and yellow radiant star is Saturn.
5
Check your prediction using binoculars or a telescope. The rings that you will be able to recognize, confirm your guesses. Saturn was found.
