The main purpose of phishing is to lure the user to a website of the attackers. The website usually imitates the famous website of the company, the Bank or the online store. The unsuspecting user is authenticated on the site by entering your account details, or trying to make a purchase, indicating your credit card details. The acquired information is sent to criminals who use it, for example, to withdraw money from the card of his victim. To lure the user into the website most often used information letters, which at first glance are no different from letters sent to real companies.

Letters sent by the scammers as a rule, contain a frightening user text, for example, it is reported that some user's account might have been hacked and the recovery required to know the password, or visit the website. The letter itself almost always contains a large amount of information, including graphics, everything is done in order to give the user a full impression of credibility written. Carefully review the email address they sent the letter, very often, fraudsters create addresses similar to the real names.

To fence themselves against phishing we recommend that you never click on links contained in emails that are sent to you. If you want to visit the email website, first consult provided you the link. The text of the letter you can see an example of such a text - "... visit the website bank.ru ...", where "bank.ru" is a link. Do not rush to click that link, it does not mean that you go to the website "http://bank.ru". Hover the mouse over the link and note the status bar of the browser (lower part of program window), there will be the address to which the link leads. Click on the links only after ensure that they are safe.
