Instruction
1
Prepare angular template that will help you to make an accurate cut billet of wood at an angle of 45 degrees. This device consists of a profile in the form of an inverted letter "P"; on its sides is done through slits for a handsaw. Usually they are at angles of 45, 60 and 90 degrees. More complex miter box additionally equipped with an arbitrary fixed eyelet or swivel design – it allows you to set the saw at the optimum position.
2
Buy ready-made carpentry tool in the hardware store with wood, metal or plastic tray. For the novice master is the best option. If you want you can make a simple mitre box with his own hands of the three planed boards or plywood strips (thickness of about 1.5-2 cm).
3
Drill in the walls for future mitre a few holes, put on the ends of carpenter's glue and assemble the box (tray) of the miter box. Corner fix the template with screws. The walls of the tool must lie strictly parallel to one another; the bottom and each sidewall are clear normals.
4
Mark with a pencil the angle of 45 degrees, if necessary, add additional lines of grooves. Not to be mistaken in their calculations, use the protractor.
5
The most important thing – slots. We recommend that you perform the same with a hacksaw, which subsequently will be cuts in the finished mitre box. Start to cut without strong pressure on the working tool, hold his canvas. First saw through one sidewall, then the opposite.
6
Proceed to the processing of lumber. Secure the mitre box to the workbench or Desk clamp (clamps to hold parts) or screws. Then make a mark future saw cut on the rake (Board, skirting) and put the blank into a box. Tightly press it against one of the side walls of the template, aligning the marks with a slot angle of 45 degrees.
7
Insert cutter into the grooves of the miter box and sawed the workpiece. Work of saws will be restricted to fixed cuts, and you run smooth and accurate cut.
8
When cutting skirting boards, ensure that the corners in the room is really straight. If the walls are very uneven, the angle of cut on the workpieces needs to be adjusted. Measure angular instrument location joints of interior walls and divide the result in half (the junction of the skirting "mustache"). To make an accurate cut, it is advisable to run the grooves at a specified angle in a homemade mitre box. Another option – shop rotary tool that allows you to change the angle from 0 to 180 degrees in increments of approximately 15 degrees.
