Before installing the new version of the operating system recommend you to format the active partition on the disk. To do this, use the utility built into the installer OS. Insert the startup disk in the drive.

Restart the computer and open the quick launch menu. Usually it is invoked by pressing the F8 key (F12). Specify the DVD drive, which is located in the Windows installation disc.

Wait until the installation program of the operating system. Go to the next menu and then select the local disk where you will install the OS.

If you are running Windows XP, select "Format in NTFS" and press Enter. The program will automatically clean the system partition and continue the installation process Windows.

Installer Windows Seven and Vista allows you to manually configure the hard drive partitions. Scroll left click the local volume, where is an old copy of the operating system.

Record the image files on a disk drive, while retaining the ability to load the program in DOS mode. To do this, use the program Ultra ISO, Nero Burning ROM or ISO File Burning.

Run the program from the disk, pre-re-booting. System select the logical drive and click "Format." Confirm applies the settings and wait for the cleaning section. Similarly, format the other local drives if necessary.
