Click "start" to bring up the main menu system and navigate to "Run" to initiate a replacement icon for your local hard disk.

Type regedit in the Open box and click OK to confirm the tool was run "registry Editor".

Expand the registry branch

open the context menu by clicking right mouse button anywhere right pane of the registry editor window.

Specify the New command | Key (New | String value, and rename the newly created key in driveicons. (If the key is present in registry entries - open it.)

Create the method described above connection with the name a local hard diskthat you want to edit, and it, in turn, create a subkey named DefaultIcon.

Double-click on the entry "(default)" on the right side of the registry editor window and specify the full path to the selected file to the desired icon as the parameter.

Restart the computer to apply the selected changes.

Return to the main menu "start" to run alternative replacement icon for your local hard disk.

Click "All programs" and open the link "Standard".

Select "Notepad" and enter the value [autorun] in the first line of the new document.

Enter icon value =x, where x is the full path to the image file for your new icon of the disc in ISO format, in the second line.

Enter the command "Save as" in menu "File" of the top toolbar of the application window and save the created document in the root directory of the selected drive with the name autorun.inf.

Restart the computer to apply the selected changes.
Note
Incorrect changes to the registry entries can lead to the need for a full reinstallation of Windows OS.
