Take a sheet of wrapping paper the size you want. If the paper is white, it is better to render "antique". for this you need to make the background light brown color. Allow to dry.

Apply to the sheet a map of the area, which is already hidden or is hidden treasure. For example, draw a plan of the yard or a suburban area: buildings, roads, trees. Indicate the place where the treasure is, conventional sign. Optionally, you can encrypt the map - for example, instead of the image of the house to draw a rebus, which will be encrypted word "home".

Carefully anneal the sheet on which the map is drawn, the edges on all sides. Fold the card in several times. Ready!
Note
Paper should not be tight - cardboard and paper are not suitable, they will be difficult to fold and artificially aged. But regular store-bought wrapping paper is perfect! However, any other thin paper is what you need.
Useful advice
If you have a large map, for example, the size of a sheet of drawing paper, it may be easier to render than a brush and a sponge for washing dishes. Sponge, of course, must be clean.
