Instruction
1
The first thing that can be done with any shortcut is to rename it. This is done as standard by pressing the right mouse button on the shortcut and select "Rename".
2
The next step is changing the image label. It is very convenient to organize your data on your computer, for example, a label "Music" stands as a symbol of notes and leads straight from your desktop in a folder with your favorite songs. To select the picture you want, need, again, click the right mouse button on the desired label in the popup menu, choose "Properties". Then you need to go to the tab "Shortcut" and click "Change icon". Next you can choose the system from the proposed list or to find using the "Browse" any of their image.
3
In the same way you can change the external appearance of the icon of any folder, the difference is that in menu Properties you need tab, not the "Label" and "configuration", and then all the same as the above item.
4
Even with shortcuts, you can remove the arrows, many people don't like them. This is done by editing the registry as follows: start - > Run -> enter "regedit" and click OK. In the opened document find the branch HKEY_SLASSES_ROOTLnkfile and delete it from the parameter isShortcut. After the computer restarts, the arrows from the shortcuts disappear.
Note
The way to remove arrows from shortcuts through editing the registry may not work properly on some versions of Windows 7, so it is better to use special programs.
Useful advice
To remove the arrows from shortcuts best to use the FxVisor program, aka Vista Shortcut Overlay Remover. It is very simple and can just lessen the arrows, or remove them altogether, and makes it wonderful.
