Instruction
1
The cylinder head cover carefully remove it. The motor to rotate until the piston of the first cylinder will not take the position of the upper dead point. Make sure that the mark on the pulley coincides with the pin located on the pulley of the oil pump.
2
Note valve tappets: belonging to the first cylinder should have a small gap, and the pushers and the fourth is to sit tight. If not, rotate the engine one turn.
3
Insert feeler gauges between the Cam surface and the follower and check the valve clearances of the piston of the first cylinder. On different engines the clearances exhaust and intake valves are different. Check the metrics for the table of measurements and adjustments.
4
Turning the engine one revolution, measure the valve clearances of the piston of the fourth cylinder in the position of the upper dead point. To determine that the adjustment is performed correctly, you will be able with the introduction of the tip of the probe. Under light touch it needs to bend and go inside.
5
When adjusting clearances, replace the upper side of the tappet shims. To do this, rotate the crankshaft to install the appropriate Cam up with the edge and using the special tool, press a pusher inside. Then a magnet or a small screwdriver to pull out the shim.
6
Before you press the pusher, rotate it to access the plug notches from the upper side. Please note that the leg of the tool must be pressed from both of the follower.
7
Beveled washer, measure with a micrometer and record the result. To provide the necessary valve clearance, calculate the thickness of a new washer. For the intake valve of the result obtained in the process of measuring the valve clearance, subtract and add 0.25 mm thick beveled washers. To determine the thickness of a new washer exhaust valve is subtract 0.25 mm to 0.30 mm.
8
Select the washer that is closest in its thickness to the desired gap. To install it again press a pusher inside. Measure the valve clearance and adjust the remaining valves.
