Option convert standard tools of the operating system. Click "start", then "All programs." Select "Standard program". In the default programs click on "Command prompt".

First, we examine the case of conversion of the system drive. To do this in the command prompt, type C: /FS:NTFS. If your system partition has a different drive letter, respectively, instead you need to enter it. After entering the command press the Enter key. A notification will appear that the system partition is now used, and the conversion will be possible at the next startup of the system. Press Y. Restart your computer.

After the reboot, the partition will begin to be converted. When conversion is complete the computer will restart again. The next time you start you will have the NTFS file system. Accordingly, all restrictions will be removed.

As for the transformation of other sections, just before the command /FS:NTFS deliver the desired letter. While rebooting may not need.

As an alternative to the standard method, you can use Norton PartitionMagic 8.0. Download it from the Internet and install it on your computer. Run the program. You will see the main menu a list of all hard disk partitions.

Click on the letter of the partition you want to convert, right-click. In the context menu select "Convert". In the window that appears, select NTFS and click OK. Will start the procedure of converting the file system. The computer will reboot, and your filesystem will be converted. Restrictions on the size of the files will be removed.
Useful advice
Converting the partition to NTFS in any case does not mean that it will need to be formatted. So you don't have to worry about losing your information. It is a safe procedure.
