You will need
    • For octopus fried in Cyprus:
    • 1 kg cleaned octopus;
    • 1 onions;
    • 4 garlic cloves;
    • 100 g pine nuts;
    • 100 g green olives;
    • 1 lemon;
    • soy sauce;
    • olive oil (for frying);
    • salt
    • ground black pepper.
    • For fried octopus:
    • 500 g octopus;
    • 2 tbsp vegetable oil;
    • 4 onions;
    • 2 tbsp tomato paste;
    • 8 large olives;
    • 1 tbsp capers;
    • 1 tbsp chopped mint;
    • 1 tbsp. red wine;
    • spices to taste.
    • For octopus grilled on skewers:
    • 600 g octopus;
    • 40 g of soy sauce;
    • 1 tsp of sugar;
    • 1 clove of garlic;
    • green onion (to taste);
    • vegetable oil;
    • pepper (to taste).
