How to get good seedlings


Celosia – a plant heat-loving and do not tolerate even the slightest frost so it is grown seedling method. Seeds are sown in early April in containers, the shoots at a temperature of +23°C appears on day 4-5. Seedling growing strong in a good light, but direct sunlight must be protected. The lack of light seedlings will be sickly, spindly, badly affect flowering, so it is recommended that additional illumination.

Moderate watering is required, while over-watering can rot the roots or shoots will amaze "black leg". To avoid this, often loosen the ground, sprinkle the surface of the wood ashes. Grown seedlings need to be thinned.


Planting and care of horses

After the transplant, "cock's comb" needs regular watering, loosening the soil. Fertilize the celosia fertilizers once in 10-15 days. Nitrogen and organic fertilization result in powerful growth of stem and foliage, reduce flowering. With proper care, "scallop" blooms from July to October.

Small flowers clustered in showy inflorescences massive, painted in yellow, red, orange colors. Ornamental plant and give the sheets different shades: dark red, bronze, purple.
