Soap solution

Simple, loose knots can be untangled with a soapy solution. Place the chain into the liquid, wait a few minutes, and then try to untie the knot right in the water.

To unravel the tight knot on a gold chain, you can try to gently stretch it out using a fine needle. But first there for some time to stretch the chain in his hands. This must be done carefully not to tear the product. Then put the chain on a flat surface and using a sewing needle to try to pull apart the parts in different directions. Slowly, step by step, the space between the tangled chain will become wider and you will see the direction in which to move forward. When the site gets going a bit, replace the thin needle on thicker. So it will go faster.

This method is not suitable for chains consisting of wide flat links. Gold is quite soft metal. The pointed end of the needle could cause the chain to scratch or damage the decorative elements of the links.

If you sprinkle the knots with talcum powder or regular baby powder and a little stretch the product in hand, to untangle a gold chain will be much easier. As necessary, pour talcum powder and again knead the knot. It will gradually become softer and more supple. After you unravel the chain, wash it first in soap and then clean water. It will return the product to the original luster.

Vegetable oil

If the node is not amenable to any mechanical stress, try to lower the gold chain for some time in a container of vegetable oil. Soaked them, links will be better to slide, and the node can be gradually unravel. It is an effective method of coping with the problem, but to clean the chain from vegetable oil, alas, is not easy. Prepare to be that the chain will have no time to stand in the concentrated soap solution or clean with special products and then rinse in clean water. However, the effort is worth it: the chain will look like new.

In the future, a gold chain was no longer confused, keep the product in a box or crate. Total jewellery boxes — not the best option if you don't want to tangle out matted ornaments of different sizes and textures. Gold jewelry requires prudent owner.
