Instruction
1
You should not configure a proxy server for untrusted network. If the computers that you want to provide access to the Internet and your PC are on the same local network, then just enable sharing for the network adapter connected to them. Open the control center network and sharing.
2
Go to properties of the network card that is connected to the required LAN. Make sure that its settings are correct. Now open the properties of your Internet connection.
3
Select the tab "Access". Find the item "Allow other network users to use the Internet connection of this computer". Select the check box next to it. In the next line, select the local network for which you want to share.
4
Considering the fact that you have set up the proxy server on the computer, the automatic issuance of matching IP addresses is unlikely to be active. The problem is that many providers will require you activate the option to automatically obtain an IP address. Hit Win key and R. Type in the window cmd and press Enter.
5
Now, write ipconfig /all and press Enter. Locate the internal IP address of your network adapter. Write down its value. Now open settings of the network adapter on another computer, which needs to provide connectivity to the proxy server.
6
Go to the settings of the Internet Protocol TCP/IP. Check the box next to "Use the following IP address". Enter the value IP address, which will differ from the' proxy serverbut the last digit.
7
Complete the line "default gateway" and "Preferred DNS server" to point to the value of the IP address of the proxy server. Similarly configure the other computer on your network.
