How to remove a graphics card

Start with retrieving the current card. In desktop computers the process is carried out without any problems. Disconnect the cable to the system unit. Never operate with devices not turning off the computer from the mains.

Unscrew a few screws located on the rear side of the system unit. Then, remove the left wall. Be sure to disconnect the cable that connects the video card and monitor.

Gently slide the latch that holds the video card in the slot. Remove the equipment. Connect to the motherboard a new graphics card. Collect the system unit.

For mobile PC this process is slightly complicated by the fact that to access certain internal devices is relatively easy. To begin, unplug the laptop from AC and remove the battery pack.

Flip the mobile computer. Remove absolutely all the available screws. Some of them support the cover where the memory modules, hard drive and DVD drive. Remove the specified devices.

Disconnect the base of the laptop from the main body portion. First slightly lift the wall and using tweezers, disconnect the ribbon cable. For discoveries case it is better to use a metal spatula. This is to prevent scratches.

Locate the graphics card of the mobile computer. Remove this device. Install a new video card. Assemble the laptop.
